  15.         seek to provide a forum for discussion of wireless power
  16.         transmission, solar power systems.  It is hosted by alumni
  17.         and faculty of the International Space University, but is
  18.         open to everyone with an interest in this area.

  33. If you would like to keep up on numerous interesting
  34. technical developments in the areas of space solar power,
  35. space nuclear power, non-terrestrial resources, space
  36. manufacturing, etc. Subscribe to Space Power today! This
  37. journal has been around for over 10 years and it features
  38. in-depth, yet understandable articles in these areas and
  39. more. I have typed in the information on the journal
  40. advertisement brochure below. Notice that several ISU
  41. faculty members and visiting lecturers are associate
  42. editors. Also, each summer I ask some ISU students to write
  43. papers for the journal and at least 2 papers written by ISU
  44. students have been published in the last 2 years.

  46. There have been many fascinating papers published in the
  47. journal that are relevant to human expansion into space by
  48. use of space resources. Two years ago, the Journal of Lunar
  49. Exploration and Development (published by the notorious G.
  50. Canough) was merged with Space Power, so that Space Power
  51. does not only deal with energy, but also material resources.
  52.  
  53. So I invite you to subscribe to the journal and/or get your
  54. local library to subscribe. The subscription rates are among
  55. the lowest for a technical journal. Inspection copies are
  56. available upon request (fill out form below).

  58. The Council for Social and Economic Studies and the SUNSAT
  59. council are affiliated with the United Nations.

  62. are always looking for good papers. If you have an idea, and

  74. Space Power is a quarterly, international journal for the
  75. presentation, discussion and analysis of advanced concepts,
  76. initial treatments and ground-breaking  basic research on
  77. the technical, economic and societal aspects of: large-scale
  78. space-based solar power, space resources utilization, space
  79. manufacturing, space colonization, and other areas related
  80. to the development and use of space for the benefit of
  81. humanity. Papers, letters, notes, comments and occasional
  82. editorial are published as well as topical book reviews.

  84. Contributions:
  85. Submissions should represent the original work of the
  86. authors and should not have appeared elsewhere in
  87. substantially the same form. Proposals for review papers are
  88. encouraged and will be considered by the Editor on an
  89. individual basis. Four copies of submissions and an abstract
  90. (not exceeding 400 words) should be sent.
  91.  
  92. English is the official language of the journal. Editorial
  93. assistance will be provided to authors whose native language
  94. is not English.

  100. Papers are of general and lasting interest and are written
  101. so as to make them accessible to technically educated
  102. professionals who may not be familiar with the specific area
  103. discussed in the paper. Letters and notes are used to air
  104. particular points and concepts when a lengthy paper is not
  105. required. Comments allow workers in the field to respond to,
  106. elucidate and  expand particularly interesting points in
  107. previously published papers. Editorial and opinion pieces of
  108. approximately one journal page in length are published if
  109. they are well argued and pertinent to the content of the
  110. journal. Topical books, journals, proceedings and meetings
  111. are reviewed when considered to be of high standard.
